Bacon powder
50g bacon
25g tapioca maltodextrin
Of course you can also use ham or bacon. Stir together with tapioca maltodextrin and mix well. This is best done in a blender, I just mixed it in a high mixing cup with a spatula.
In the mouth it becomes liquid again and tastes and feels like bacon grease because it reacts with water - in this case saliva. The powder is ultra-light and gives lots of volume. 25g of it is quite a lot. So light as dust and also makes quite a mess in the kitchen if you handle it like flour or starch. So be very, very careful.
Makes a great topping for scrambled eggs or you can use it to flavor dishes. So as a flavor enhancer.
