Tamarind lemonade

Tamarind lemonade is deliciously refreshing and slightly sour. Even if sweetened with sugar, still healthy. But you can also take sugar substitutes such as thick juice or xylitol to sweeten. Tamarind lemonade with lemon and mint

50g tamarind pulp
200g water
20g sugar
mint or lemon balm for serving

Soak the pulp in water and boil it with sugar. Taste. Put everything into a sieve and strain well. Taste again and sweeten if necessary and fill up with water. Chill the lemonade and enjoy it with ice cubes.

In Ayurvedic cuisine, of course, no one would serve this cold or with ice cubes. If it is very hot, then it stresses the body to deal with cold drinks. But you have to decide that for yourselves.
